# Intelligence Center Overview

The Intelligence Center is your comprehensive tool for researching government contractors, analyzing competitive landscapes, and tracking federal contract history. Access authoritative data from USASpending and FPDS to make informed capture decisions.

## What is the Intelligence Center?

The Intelligence Center provides instant access to government contract data for any federal contractor. Search for companies, view their complete contract history, and analyze multiple competitors simultaneously to understand the competitive landscape for your opportunities.

## Key Capabilities

### Universal Contractor Search

Search the complete USASpending database to find any company doing business with the federal government. Results include company name, UEI (Unique Entity Identifier), and business type.

### Multi-Company Analysis

Select and analyze multiple contractors at once to compare their government contract portfolios side-by-side. All contracts are merged into a single, unified view for easy comparison.

### Comprehensive Contract Details

View complete information for every contract including:

* Total obligated amounts and base contract values
* Contract modifications with dates and amounts
* Task orders linked to parent IDV contracts
* Government Points of Contact (contracting officers, administrators)
* Agency and sub-agency information
* NAICS and PSC codes
* Contract types and performance periods

### Authoritative Data Sources

Data is merged from two authoritative federal sources:

* **USASpending.gov**: Official source for federal spending data
* **FPDS (Federal Procurement Data System)**: Detailed contract modification and POC information

## Data Sources and Accuracy

The Intelligence Center merges data from two authoritative federal sources:

* **USASpending.gov**: Primary source for contract values, agencies, and award information
* **FPDS**: Detailed modification history, task orders, and Points of Contact

When data conflicts exist between sources, the system displays warnings and uses USASpending as the primary source of truth. Confidence scores indicate data quality.
